One valve description is not enough to confirm suitability.
- State the exact medium or mixture and any concentration, purity or cleanliness requirement.
- Provide design and operating pressure and temperature rather than only the nominal pressure class.
- Define whether the duty is isolation, throttling, reverse-flow protection or another specific function.
- Confirm body, trim, seat, packing, bolting and end-connection requirements where these are project controlled.
- Include testing, NDE, material certificates, inspection and any special documentation requirements.
