Steam isolation
Forged gate valves can be reviewed for fully open or fully closed isolation where high temperature and pressure are key design inputs.
Steam and power plant piping can place severe demands on pressure-temperature capability, trim materials, packing, bolting and operating reliability. Forged valves are commonly used in compact high-pressure isolation and control points.

Steam, feedwater, condensate and auxiliary systems can operate across very different temperature and pressure ranges. The applicable pressure-temperature rating and material combination must therefore be checked against the actual design conditions, not only the nominal pressure class.
FerraForge reviews valve function, pressure and temperature, material grade, end connection, flow direction, dimensional requirements, testing and documentation before the offered construction is confirmed.
Forged gate valves can be reviewed for fully open or fully closed isolation where high temperature and pressure are key design inputs.
Globe and check valves can support regulation, isolation and reverse-flow protection in feedwater and condensate systems.
Compact forged valves suit drains, vents and bypasses where welded ends and high pressure-temperature capability may be required.
Cooling, utility and auxiliary piping can be matched to the appropriate material, pressure system and valve function without over-specifying the construction.
On/off isolation for steam, feedwater and auxiliary high-pressure lines.
Regulation and shut-off where controlled flow adjustment is required.
Automatic reverse-flow protection in feedwater, condensate and utility systems.
Fast isolation for suitable auxiliary and process duties after seat and temperature review.
A forged gate valve is commonly considered for fully open or fully closed steam isolation. The final body, trim, packing, bolting, end connection and pressure class must be verified against the specified pressure and temperature.
A valve pressure class does not represent one constant allowable pressure at every temperature. The applicable material and standard define how allowable pressure changes as temperature increases.
